Second graders at Clermont have been observing the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly since the beginning of the school year. They've learned to identify the different stages of the life cycle and observe the metamorphosis over time. Their excitement has been growing throughout the last several weeks as the classes have seen the chrysalises emerge into butterflies. This has been a great way to get students excited and give them background information for when we do our Monarchs, Milkweed, and Mexico unit in the spring. What a great way to start the year and let nature takes its course.
