Fairfax County offers instruction in violin, viola, cello and bass in all of its schools starting in 4th grade and continuing through 12th grade. Instruction takes place during the school day. At Clermont, classes occur every day of the week depending on grade and level. Students may sign up in the Spring, and classes continue until their final concert which takes place in early June. Second and third year students may participate in Area Orchestra and Solo and Ensemble festival.
