Clermont Eagles grades K-2 are participating in a Salad Science project.  The Salad Science project is a multi-week project (adapted for Pre-K-5th grades) during which students plant seeds, care for the growing plants and then harvest their grown lettuces.  The culmination of the project is the Salad Science party during which students eat a salad full of a rainbow of healthy toppings and enjoy the result of their gardening efforts.  Salad Science is a cross-curricular program that aligns with Virginia SOLs, has STEAM components, and offers authentic learning opportunities for Project Based Learning and Get2Green Initiatives, as well as incorporating all of the Portrait of a Graduate skills into the experience. The students are very excited to see their garden grow!
