Our school has been participating in the Crayola Color Cycle program.

All around Clermont, students and teachers will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded; instead of throwing the markers away, we are collecting them and sending them to Crayola where they are being recycled and repurposed. Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers you may have around the house- even non-Crayola brands! Highlighters and dry erase markers can also be included. Drop-off boxes will be located around the school for your child to deposit the markers.

(Crayola uses the most advanced plastic conversion technologies available today to make wax compounds for asphalt and roofing shingles as well as to generate electricity that can be used to heat homes, cook food, and power vehicles.)

Each classroom is collecting all of their used markers and students across all grade levels collect and count the markers before we ship them to Crayola.

In our last shipment, we sent 730 used markers. We are excited to be participating in this program. Remember, Don't throw it away, COLOR CYCLE IT!
