In sixth grade our first cross-curricular PBL event of the year centered around a study of Mars and a future colonization endeavor. Students built rockets in science, discussed Mars geography in Social Studies, and designed and built their colonies in PBL. They completed their project with a gallery walk where they got to see and comment on the ideas of others.
